Property / Roof Inspection example

Property & Land Inspections consist of the following components under Inspection :

Roof Tiles and slates

Ridge work

Guttering

Chimney stack and surround

General construction and Aerial Overview

Media Deliverables

20 - 40 X 12 MP Photographs detailing all the above including up to 10- 20 pictures focussing on any suspected defects. 1 x 5-10 minute 4K video giving overview of subject plus any suspected faults/defects.

Please note : we provide an aerial inspection and not a survey. The data collected should be analysed by a qualified chartered surveyor if required.

Deliver media via cloud link or USB/SD (normally required for very high quality/quantity media files.

All Quotations are based on the location of the operation, the scope of work involved and the quantity/quality of the media produced. The media captured is generally of a standard quality, being 12 MP photographs and 4K HD Video quality.

The equipment we use is capable of producing photos of up to 48MP quality. The equipment can also produce RAW 10 bit colour grade photography. Our Video comparison page shows two 1 minute video of different quality grades.

We are still testing the various settings and functions this equipment is capable of.

Bespoke operations

Maybe you need a pilot with a drone to simply check a roof without the deliverables?

The scenario is that you have had work done and you simply need to view what has been done . You may just want a couple of photos. Our drones have the capability to stream in real time.

There may have been a storm and you are not sure if damage has been caused and you need a cost effective way to check. We would operate on a per hour basis subject to safety regulations. The work would be to visit, get the drone in the air , conduct the mission and provide the advice, sometimes, via real time streaming.

Once the information is obtained, this would be classed as the job completed.

We still would need to log the flight and carry out the admin post flight, but in essence, this way of working would save time on post-content creation, thus saving on costs.

This is INPORTANT to establish a pre plan of the operation.

6. Three preferable dates for the operation to take place, weather permitting.

(Please have dates with at least a 7 day gap)

Price estimated example

Our estimate is based on several factors being as follows;

1/ Distance of Travel to location

2/ Job Type

3/ Quantity/Quality of Media to be captured

4/ Restrictions/Hazards/Permissions required

5/ Quantity of Jobs

For example, if there is a job which required a roof inspection (64-128 m2 area) for a 2 bed property, within 5 miles whereby the location was in an 'unrestricted flight zone' with no other hazards or restrictions, and the customer required a 10 minute 4K video Mp4 file and 20 photos to be delivered via cloud link, then this job would be classed as a "standard job" with an estimated pre plan time inclusive of job pack at 30 mins. Travel and costs would be up to another 30 mins of time. The mission itself, would be up to 1 hr including charging of Aircraft, maintenance , on site survey, flight, capture of media & post brief/media checks . 1 hr needs to be allowed for flight logs, and post edit, before delivering media via cloud link and invoicing. In total a 3 hour time slot should be allowed for this single job.

If this job is carried out during the week, the estimate would roughly be £50 x 3 hours = £150 plus the VAT @ 20% which could be as little as £180.

There are many variables to a quotation, such as job type, distance, hazards on site, Permission & Authorisation costs if applicable, property size, media quantity/quality , time of day/week and the quantity of jobs from a single company. If there are a dozen jobs from one company, in the same geographical area , where the properties are of similar size, then this can save on travel costs & maintenance, therefore the costs could be reduced.

We operate small aircraft with superior camera equipment which allows us to fly without certain limitations. It gives us the flexibility to provide a service and give the customer an adequate quality product.
